Kayak trip through Indianapolis on White River

We decided on a whim, that a nice day trip down the White River would be a great way to explore Indianapolis.

What You'll See on the White River North of Broad Ripple -

Some of the features that can be seen while traveling down the White River are Golf Ball Island, Trail Run Bike Trails, some beautiful homes along the river and a variety of wildlife that could include many varieties of birds that may include hawks, bald Eagles, blue herron, woodpecker. You may also see other Indiana wildlife including different turtles, fish, even the occasional White Tail deer.

Time and Distance of our trip

This trip lasted about 4 hours and covered a distance of about 7 miles. There was plenty of shade on this trip and very peaceful. We traveled behind the Keystone Crossing Mall and along an area of apartment buildings but we did not see very many people on this trip.
